Creating a Hot Spot activity

- The Pencil Tool: use this to paint a hotspot - the size of the pencil is set using the squares on the bottom row
- Eraser tool: use this to delete some or all of a hotspot - again the size is determined by the squares in the bottom row.
For a new image you will
- Click the "Map Image" button
- Select the Pencil tool (click on the pencil in the top row) and select a Size (Click on a square in the bottom row)
- Drag the cursor over the image to paint an area
- Use the Eraser tool to adjust if needed
- Type text in the Enter Hotspot Text area
- Click the Next button to continue
- Repeat for the remaining Hotspot areas
To modify or edit a hotspot after it is created
- Click on the Select tool (Arrow)
- Click on the color that represents that area to choose it
- Now you can use the Pencil or Eraser tool to modify the area or you can edit the text in the Textbox.
- Use the Select tool again to choose a different hotspot area
The type of "Popup" you choose to show the text applies to the entire activity - you cannot use different ones for different areas.
